THE STARTER REPORTED: a) AMIOK dislodged Jockey C Zackey without incident en route to the start, bolted and went over the running rail, cantered a short distance on the service road, was taken in hand and returned to the start, examined by the course Veterinary Surgeon and passed suitable to race, causing a delay. b) MAKE BELIEVE (G Wright) was nervous in the stalls. c) MONEY GALORE (S Khathi) stood awkwardly in the stalls. d) ATLANTIC PEARL (*N Nastili) and AMIOK (C Zackey) were slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) AMIOK (C Zackey) jumped slow and was slow into stride and was unable to muster speed in the early stages. Despite Jockey C Zackey's urgings, this filly became further detached from the field from the 1000m and Jockey C Zackey did not persevere with his riding from the 100m. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. b) ATLANTIC PEARL (*N Nastili) shifted out away from the crop from the 100m. c) MAKE BELIEVE, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer DG Smith, acting on behalf of Trainer GD Smith, was advised.
