THE START OF THIS RACE WAS DELAYED DUE TO THE DELAY IN THE PREVIOUS RACE AS WELL AS THE STARTING STALLS HAVING TO BE REPOSITIONED ON THE TRACK.
THE STARTER REPORTED:
a) JAPANESE GARDEN (G Lerena) jumped inwards leaving the stalls.
b) PARIS FUN (M K Katjedi) was slow into stride.
THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED:
a) Shortly after the start, HOLLYWOOD MADAM (J Mariba) and JAPANESE GARDEN (G Lerena) came together and bumped.
b) JAPANESE GARDEN (G Lerena) over-raced in the early and middle stages, thereafter, hung in in the concluding stages. In view of this report, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly.
c) Apprentice T Mayhew (MRS WONDERFUL) did not persevere with his riding from the 700m. Thereafter, Apprentice T Mayhew reported that MRS WONDERFUL did not stride out freely in running.
The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly.
d) Jockey R Fourie (BLOOD OF EDEN) did not persevere with his riding from the 300m. Thereafter, Jockey R Fourie reported that he felt something amiss with this filly in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine.
e) PARIS FUN (M K Katjedi) shifted in away from the crop in the concluding stages.
f) SCHIPOLE (C Murray), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
Assistant Trainer P Dlhamini, acting on behalf of Trainers M/M de Kock, was advised (MduP).
When questioned regarding the improved performance of this filly, Assistant Trainer P Dlhamini, acting on behalf of Trainers M/M de Kock could offer the Board no suitable explanation. His attention was drawn to the Rules pertaining to In and Out running.
JOCKEY CHANGES:
a) BLOOD OF EDEN: Jockey R Fourie weighed out at 56,6kg, 0,5kg over the carded weight
RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER:
a) FALCONFLY raced with a tongue tie on (declared 11 June 2025 at 09H01).

a) JAPANESE GARDEN blowing post race.
b) MRS WONDERFUL examined post race, nothing obvious detected. Veterinary report required prior to racing. Rule 49.7 applies. MRS WONDERFUL is required to perform a gallop to the satisfaction of the NHA veterinary department prior to her next engagement. Trainer S M Naidoo advised (MB).
c) BLOOD OF EDEN not striding out right hind.
d) COOL REGGAE brush wound right hind.
e) UMAMI blowing post race.
SCRATCHED:
a) SHAMOON injured left front (Trainer) (Rule 53.5 applies).
