En route to the start SHE'S A MACHINE cast the right front shoe which was replaced by the course farrier at the start. This filly was examined by the Veterinary Surgeon and passed fit to race. THE STARTER REPORTED: a) GREEN VALKYRIE (P Mxoli) stood losing many lengths. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) GREEN VALKYRIE (P Mxoli) stood and lost many lengths. Unable to make up the deficit, this filly trailed the field throughout. b) In view of the Starter's report with regard to GREEN VALKYRIE (P Mxoli), this filly's starting stall certificate is withdrawn and it is suspended in terms of Rule 61.6.10 for a period of 7 days and until such time as it proves tractable loading and jumping on terms on a race day with a companion. Suspension dates: 19.06.2025 to the 25.06.2025. GREEN VALKYRIE may not be presented for re-passing during this period. Trainer K Naidoo will be advised. c) At the 1100m BUTTERCUP BABY (C Habib) rolled in away. from the heels of MAMAS BABY (N Patel) and thereafter took an awkward stride. d) BUTTERCUP BABY (C Habib) hung in from the 350m. e) At the 100m BLIND SPEED (C F Dicken) was carried in by SHE'S A MACHINE (S Veale) which rolled in away from the heels of ICY LANCASTER (S Khumalo). f) Jockey C Zackey reported that ARVERNIAN GODDESS took no interest in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. g) PAPILLON BLU (A Fortune), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer P Botha was advised (NS). JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES : a) GREEN VALKYRIE raced without blinkers (advised 12.06.2025/16h43). RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER : a) Nil. THE VETERINARY SURGEON REPORTED : a) AVERNIAN GODDESS : Coughing. b) BUTTERCUP BABY : Cut into right front. SCRATCHINGS : a) BLUSH OF DAWN : Reserve runner (18.06.2025/08h16).
