THE START OF THIS RACE WAS DELAYED DUE TO THE DELAY IN THE PREVIOUS RACE. THE STARTER REPORTED: a) TEO TORRIATTE (*M Mbuto) jumped inwards leaving the stalls. b) SNEAK PREVIEW (C Zackey) was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) SNEAK PREVIEW (C Zackey) over-raced in the early stages. b) ELEMBEE (P Strydom) was baulked for a clear run from the 350m to the 200m. c) In view of the performance of WAGRAM (C Habib), (distance 8,60 lengths, betting 7/1), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. d) In view of the performance of SECRET RECIPE (M Yeni), (distance 8,65 lengths, betting 16/1), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this mare. e) ANNEWITHAN E (G Lerena), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer W C Marwing advised (MduP). When questioned regarding the improved performance of this filly, Trainer W C Marwing could offer the Board no suitable explanation. His attention was drawn to the Rules pertaining to In and Out running.
