THE STARTER REPORTED: a) CASINO KING dislodged Jockey M Yeni while proceeding to the start, bolted to the 600m, made a U-turn, galloped back past the winning post to the back straight, made another U-turn and galloped back to the parade ring, was taken in hand, examined by the course Veterinary Surgeon and withdrawn. b) FOCAL POINT (S Fortune), which was stubborn loading, jumped awkwardly and made contact with BUFFALO BILL (C Maujean) leaving the stalls. c) SOMBREUIL (A Fortune) was nervous in the stalls and reared shortly before the start was effected. d) ZAMBEZI SUNSET (R Fourie) was nervous in the stalls and jumped slow, losing one length. e) LACRYMA CHRISTI (*B Plaatjies) jumped slow, losing one length. f) SAN GIMIGNANO (*N Nastili) and THROW A PARTY (MK Katjedi) were slow into stride. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. f) In view of the performance of ZAMBEZI SUNSET (R Fourie) (Betting 4/1; Distance 12.45 lengths), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. Trainer AC Greeff was advised to report back should he find anything amiss with this gelding on his return to the stables. g) In view of the performance of SOMBREUIL (A Fortune) (Betting 5/1; Distance 8.95 lengths), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly.
