During the loading process CASSANDRA (D De Gouveia) became restless in the stalls and rushed the front gates. This filly was released from the stalls, examined by the Veterinary Surgeon, passed fit to race and reloaded. This caused a delay to the start of this race. THE STARTER REPORTED: a) CASSANDRA (D De Gouveia) and MUZZLE FLASH (A Mgudlwa) were restless in the stalls. CASSANDRA (D De Gouveia) was removed from the stalls, examined by the Veterinary Surgeon, passed fit to race and reloaded. b) CASSANDRA (D De Gouviea), NAKANJANI (S Veale) and ELUSIVE BOMBA (M Thackeray) lost 1 length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) Approaching the 1200m ELUSIVE BOMBA (M Thackeray) which raced green, ducked out for no apparent reason. b) At the 1200m NAKANJANI (S Veale) was steadied to avoid running onto the heels of MALONGANE (S Hlengwa). c) CASSANDRA (D De Gouviea) hung in from the 350m. d) THE GOLDEN GOAL (A Fortune), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer D I Campbell was advised (NS). JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES : a) Jockey A Fortune was the rider of THE GOLDEN GOAL (advised 22.06.2025/08h38). b) ELUSIVE BOMBA raced equipped with a tongue tie (advised 19.06.2025/08h39). c) Jockey D De Gouveia (CASSANDRA) weighed out at 53.9kg, 0.5kg over the carded weight. d) Jockey C Little (BALTIC ASSAYER) weighed out at 57.8kg, 0.5kg over the carded weight.
