The start of this race was delayed due to AFRICAN SKYLINE (M Yeni) having to be resaddled at the start. THE STARTER REPORTED: a) PROUD MASTER (S Veale) and TERIYAKI (*M Mbuto) lost 1 length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) At the 300m KALAHARI ROLLER (S Hlengwa) was carried out and thereafter was eased when close to the heels of TERIYAKI (*M Mbuto) which hung out and shifted out. Thereafter AGRADO (S Moodley) was carried out and then was steadied when awkwardly placed on the heels of TERIYAKI (*M Mbuto) which continued to shift out. Approaching the finish DISTING (M Yeni) was buffeted between PROUD MASTER (S Veale) and TERIYAKI (*M Mbuto) which again shifted out. b) Apprentice M Mbuto was charged with a contravention of Rule 62.2.7 in that he, as the rider of TERIYAKI, failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to the horses KALAHARI ROLLER (S Hlengwa), AGRADO (S Moodley) and DISTING (M Yeni) between the 300m and the finish. Apprentice M Mbuto signed an admission of guilt and is suspended from riding in races for a period of 14 days (Suspension dates : 04.07.2025 - 17.07.2025 bdi). c) In view of the performance of ACACIA'S BLOSSOM (T Godden) (9.05 lengths, 25/1 in the betting), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. d) TARA STAR (R Fourie), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer D W Moore was advised (NS). JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES : a) Jockey T Godden (+0.5kg) was the rider of ACACIA'S BLOSSOM (advised 22.06.2025/11h56). RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER : a) Nil.
