THE STARTER REPORTED: a) BLACK PATH (M Yeni) stood awkwardly in the stalls and had to be corrected. b) ANGEL'S OASIS (L Mxothwa) was restless in the stalls. c) VERONIQUE (A Arries) stood in the stalls as the start was effected, losing four lengths. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) VERONIQUE (A Arries) proved difficult proceeding to the start and had to be led riderless by a Handler, causing a delay. This mare is suspended indefinitely in terms of Rule 93.2.4 until such time as she proves tractable proceeding to the start on a race day. b) BLACK PATH (M Yeni) pulled hard in the early and middle stages and raced wide on the turn and into the straight. c) BRIGHT GOLD (A Fortune) over raced in the early and middle stages. d) On entering the straight SWEET CONIFER (R Fourie) was directed inwards towards the inside running rail and thereafter commenced to hang out and shifted out from the 300m. e) ANGEL'S OASIS (L Mxothwa) was steadied when awkwardly placed on the outside of VIVO PER LEI (G van Niekerk) at the finish. f) In view of the report from the Starter regarding VERONIQUE (A Arries), this mare's starting stall certificate has been withdrawn and she is suspended for 7 days in terms of Rule 61.6.10 and until such time as she proves to be tractable to jump on terms with a companion. (Suspension dates: 25/06/2025 to 01/07/2025 inclusive) VERONIQUE may not be presented for re-passing during this period. g) DIAMOND BOMBER, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer C Bass-Robinson was advised.
