THE STARTER REPORTED: a) LIFE GOES ON (J Gates) was stubborn loading. b) ACROSS THE BOW (J Mariba) jumped inwards leaving the stalls. c) PHALA MILLIONS (M K Katjedi) jumped outwards leaving the stalls. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Shortly after the start, GIMME A STORM (*K J Lihaba), CIRCUS LIGHTS (P Mxoli) and PRIZED PLATINUM (C Maujean) were steadied when awkwardly placed between PHALA MILLIONS (M K Katjedi), which jumped outwards leaving the stalls, and ACROSS THE BOW (J Mariba), which jumped inwards leaving the stalls. b) At approximately the 1000m, SI VELOCE (*G Dookhit) took an awkward stride and made contact with the outside running rails. In view of this report, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. c) In the concluding stages, PHALA MILLIONS (M K Katjedi) was brushed out by LIFE GOES ON (J Gates), which shifted out away from the crop. d) PRIZED PLATINUM (C Maujean) shifted out away from the crop in the concluding stages. e) ENSUING (G Lerena), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer J J van Vuuren advised (MS). JOCKEY CHANGES: a) PACIFIC: Jockey C Habib weighed out at 55,4kg, 0,5kg over the carded weight as declared. b) SI VELOCE: Apprentice G Dookhit weighed out at 49,3kg, only claiming 3kg of his 4kg apprentice allowance as declared. RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER: a) ACROSS THE BOW raced with a tongue tie on (declared 27 June 2025 at 08H01).
