During the loading process ABADDON (*J Botes) became restless and broke through the front stalls. ABADDON (*J Botes) was restrained by the rider, returned to the start, examined by the Veterinary Surgeon, passed fit to race and reloaded. This caused a delay to the start of the race. THE STARTER REPORTED: a) THE MASK (C Little) kicked the back gates resulting in ABADDON (*J Botes) becoming restless and breaking through the front gates. Trainer M D Miller will be asked to reschool this gelding. b) BARRY DU GROND (T Godden) was stubborn to load. c) PROFESSOR LUPIN (*S Valjalo) fly-jumped leaving the stalls, losing 1 length. d) THE MASK (C Little) and MAR DEL PLATA (G Lerena) lost 1 length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) GORGEOUS GUY (C Habib) shifted out away from the crop in the concluding stages. b) In view of the Veterinary Surgeon's report concerning ABADDON, and in terms of Rule 93.1, this gelding is suspended for 60 days from racing in any race under the jurisdiction of the National Horseracing Authority. (Suspension dates: 30.06.2025 - 28.08.2025 bdi) Assistant Trainer C Eudey acting on behalf of Trainer M D Miller was advised. c) GORGEOUS GUY (C Habib), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer W Whitehead was advised (DZ). JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES : a) Nil. RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER : a) Nil.
