En route to the start Apprentice D Pillay was dislodged from CHELSEA FLOWER which proceeded to canter up and down the straight to the 600m. CHELSEA FLOWER was taken in hand, reunited with Apprentice Pillay and dispatched to the start. This led to the delay to the start of this race. THE STARTER REPORTED: a) ROLLO THE VIKING (C Zackey) and DYLAN'S CHAMP (W Kennedy) lost 1 length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) LADY SABRINA (*K J LIhaba) raced wide and without cover in the early stages. b) At the 1100m DECEPTION PASS (M Yeni) was steadied when tightened between OPEN HIGHWAY (G Lerena) and MASTEROFTHEDESERT (A Fortune) which rolled in and was immediately corrected. c) ISIKWIKWISHI (S Veale) commenced to over-race in the middle stages. d) At the 300m AFRICAN PRINCE (J P v'd Merwe) was inconvenienced when awkwardly placed between the outside running rail and ROLLO THE VIKING (C Zackey) which rolled out marginally. e) Jockey S Moodley reported that he felt something amiss with NOTABLE in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. The Stipendiary Board has exercised the provisions of Rule 49.7, and this gelding is suspended pending a Veterinary Certificate prior to its next racing engagement. f) Notwithstanding that his crop use was not in contravention of Rule 58.10 (Guideline M, Index E) (Hitting a horse more than 12 times), Jockey Veale (ISIKWISHIKWISHI) was advised that he is obliged to ensure that he provides an opportunity for his mounts to respond to his crop use. g) ROLLO THE VIKING (C Zackey), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
