THE STARTER REPORTED: a) MASTER SPY (C Zackey) and DIGITAL ASSET (T Godden) were stubborn to load. b) SIX OF ALL (M Thackeray) fly-jumped leaving the stalls. c) CAPRANICA (G Lerena) and ROYAL SOCIETY (*J Botes) lost 1 length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) Approaching the 700m ROYAL SOCIETY (*J Botes) which over-raced in the early and middle stages, was steadied when awkwardly placed on the outside of BRUH (M Yeni) and close to the heels of LUNAR DESCENT (*S Valjalo). b) Approaching the 400m XIPHOS (C Little) and MASTER SPY (C Zackey) were carried out by PIED PIPER (S Veale) which hung out badly from the 500m. Trainer W M Masawi was advised to take the necessary corrective measures to improve this filly's racing manners in future. c) The breastplate on SIX OF ALL (M Thackeray) became partially detached at the 300m. d) DIGITAL ASSET (T Godden) hung out from the 250m. e) Apprentice S Valjalo (LUNAR DESCENT) completed a satisfactory qualifying ride. f) BRUH (M Yeni), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
