THE STARTER REPORTED: a) TROIS TROIS QUATRE (S Veale) lost 2 lengths. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) In view of the performance of DANCING ON A CLOUD (C Zackey) (6.45 lengths, 4/1 in the betting), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. b) Jockey C Little was charged with a contravention of Rule 58.10.2, (Appendix E; Guideline M). in that he as the rider of LOCK AND KEY misused his crop by striking this filly more than twelve times (15) which was not warranted when considering the circumstances of the race. Jockey C Little signed an admission of guilt and a penalty of a fine of R7500 was imposed. c) LOCK AND KEY (C Little), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
