THE START OF THIS RACE WAS DELAYED DUE TO THE DELAY IN THE PREVIOUS RACE. THE STARTER HAD NO REPORTS. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) NIGHT BOMBER (K A Brewer) over-raced in the middle stages. b) KOMATI RIVER (*S Valjalo) raced wide around the turn and into the straight. c) PASSAGE OF POWER (G Lerena) hung out in the concluding stages. d) In view of the performance of YAMADORI (C Zackey), (distance 9,60 lengths, betting 11/2), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. e) CHYAVANA (C Habib), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
