THE START OF THIS RACE WAS DELAYED DUE TO THE DELAY IN THE PREVIOUS RACE. THE STARTER REPORTED: a) CIAN THE CONQUEROR (M van Rensburg) and HAIR TRIGGER (K Matsunyane) were slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) AUSSENKEHR (N Klink) commenced to give ground to the field from the 150m. In view of this report, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. b) Jockey P Strydom (WINGS WITHIN ME ) did not persevere with his riding in the concluding stages. Thereafter, Jockey P Strydom reported WINGS WITHIN ME took a number of awkward strides. In view of this report, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. c) Jockey S Khumalo reported that he felt something amiss with PLUS FOUR in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. d) ENSUING (G Lerena), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer J J van Vuuren advised (MduP). JOCKEY CHANGES: a) PLUS FOUR was ridden by Jockey S Khumalo (declared 10 July 2025 at 08H54).
