THE STARTER REPORTED: a) During the loading process, the front gates of gate 1, COPPER FIRE (D Daniels), and stall 2, AUDACIOUS (J Penny), opened for no apparent reason, which resulted in these fillies exiting the stalls. They were restrained by their respective Riders', returned to the start, examined by the Course Veterinary Surgeon, passed fit to race and reloaded. b) FOREVER ROYAL (M Thackeray) was slow losing one length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) PRINCE OF DENMARK (P Mxoli) hung in from the 300m. b) COPPER FIRE (D Daniels), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer D Swanson advised (AH). JOCKEY CHANGES: a) FOREVER ROYAL: Jockey M Thackeray weighed out at 51kg, 1kg over the carded weight as declared. RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER: a) COPPER FIRE raced equipped with ear muffs (declared 11 July 2025 at 09H23). THE VETERINARY SURGEON HAD NO REPORTS. THERE WERE NO SCRATCHINGS.
