THE START OF THIS RACE WAS DELAYED DUE TO BELLO GROSSO (D DANIELS) BREAKING THROUGH THE FRONT GATES. THIS GELDING WAS RESTRAINED BY ITS RIDER, RETURNED TO THE START, EXAMINED BY THE COURSE VETERINARY SURGEON, PASSED FIT TO RACE AND RELOADED. THE STARTER REPORTED: a) During the loading process, BELLO GROSSO (D Daniels) in stall gate 1, broke through the front gates. This gelding was restrained by its Rider, returned to the start, examined by the Course Veterinary Surgeon, passed fit to race and reloaded. Thereafter, as the start was effected, HILDELITA, in stall gate 4, became restless and reared, dislodging Jockey N Takawira and bolting the course. The starting stall certificate for BELLO GROSSO (D Daniels) and HILDELITA (N Takawira) has been withdrawn. Trainer D Swanson was advised (AH). THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) A race review was called into the start of this race with regards to HILDELITA (N Takawira) in stall gate 4, where it was established that HILDELITA (N Takawira) became restless and reared, which resulted in Jockey N Takawira being dislodged. The Board, acting in terms of Rule 61.5.10.2, declared her to be a non-runner. b) In view of the Starter's report with regard to BELLO GROSSO (D Daniels) , this gelding's starting stall certificate has been withdrawn, and he is suspended in terms of Rule 61.6.10 until such time as he proves tractable loading and jumping with a companion. Trainer D Swanson was advised. c) In view of the Starter's report with regard to HILDELITA (N Takawira), this filly's starting stall certificate has been withdrawn, and she is suspended in terms of Rule 61.6.10 until such time as she proves tractable loading and jumping with a companion. Trainer D Swanson was advised. d) GUERRA (J Penny), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer B H Stidolph advised (AH). JOCKEY CHANGES: None. DISQUALIFIED / DECLARED NON-RUNNER: a) HILDELITA declared a non-runner in terms of Rule 61.5.10.2.
