During the loading process GETOFFOFMYCLOUD (C Habib) became restless in the starting stalls and rushed the front gates. This filly was released from the starting stalls, examined by the Veterinary Surgeon, passed fit to race and reloaded. This caused a delay to the start of this race. THE STARTER REPORTED: a) During the loading process GETOFFOFMYCLOUD (C Habib) became restless in the stalls and rushed the front gates. This filly was released from the stalls, examined by the Veterinary Surgeon, passed fit to race and reloaded. b) MIST IN IRELAND (C F Dicken) became restless as the start was effected and lost 2 lengths. c) ACACIA'S BLOSSOM (*B Plaatjies) was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) HAPPY FORTUNE (A Mgudlwa) hung in from the 350m. b) In the concluding stages ILHA DA ORANGE (M Yeni) was directed to the inside of BLUSH OF DAWN (*J Botes) to continue its run. c) In view of the performance of CRAFTY CROFTY (M V'Rensburg) (20.70 lengths, 10/1 in the betting), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. Trainer Y Govender will be asked to report back on the condition of CRAFTY CROFTY upon return to stables. d) PAPILLON BLU (G Lerena), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
