THE STARTER REPORTED: a) PRINCE ANTONIO (R Fourie), PENNY'S WORLD (MK Katjedi) and THE ROARING ROCK (G Lerena) were nervous in the stalls. b) DINERO (S Fortune) was stubborn loading and jumped slow, losing two to three lengths. c) FLIGHT ENGINEER (*I Taka) jumped slow, losing two to three lengths. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) DINERO (S Fortune), which jumped slow, failed to muster speed and raced detached from the field throughout. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this colt. b) MONOCLE (*J Botes) had to steady momentarily when awkwardly placed on the inside of PRINCE ANTONIO (R Fourie), which shifted inwards slightly at approximately the 900m. c) FLIGHT ENGINEER (*I Taka) shied away from THE ROARING ROCK (G Lerena), which shifted outwards away from the crop at approximately the 250m. d) Jockey C Little reported that he felt something amiss with BLIND FAITH. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this mare. e) PRINCE ANTONIO, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer AC Greeff was advised.
