THE STARTER REPORTED:
a) GIMME THE POWER (S Veale) was restless in the stalls and slow into stride.
b) HOMING PIGEON (M Yeni) jumped slow, losing one length and thereafter was slow into stride.
c) LA PATRONA (G Wright) jumped slow, losing two lengths and thereafter was slow into stride.
d) SWIFT SERENITY (C Murray) jumped outwards.
THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED:
a) WITHOUT HESITATION (K Steyn) raced green and was hanging out from the 500m.
b) ST MONANS (O Noach) and HOMING PIGEON (M Yeni) raced green.
c) The saddle on DESTINY'S DREAM (*B Plaatjies) slipped back in running. This was confirmed by the Veterinary Surgeon.
d) In view of the debut performance of ST MONANS (O Noach), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly.
e) Trainer AE Sands was charged with a contravention of Rule 8.3.1 in that he failed to have available the registered colours of the owner/s of DELAROCHE. Trainer AE Sands signed an Admission of Guilt and was given a warning.
f) Trainer C Bass-Robinson was charged with a contravention of Rule 39.7.5 in that she failed to vaccinate ST MONANS against Equine Influenza in accordance with the program of vaccinations as published from time to time in the Racing Calendar. Trainer C Bass-Robinson signed an Admission of Guilt and was fined R1000.00.
g) Jockey A Domeyer was charged with a contravention of Rule 55.4 in that he failed to weigh out at the carded weight on PEACHES AND CREAM, or at the higher weight confirmed in his engagement with the Trainer, which resulted in a change of Rider. Jockey A Domeyer signed an admission of guilt and was fined R1000.00.
h) STORMWATCH, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer AE Sands was advised. (SC)
