THE STARTER REPORTED: a) SAFE TRAVEL (G Lerena) jumped inwards leaving the stalls. b) LORD KELVIN (K A Brewer), LUWAK (P Mxoli) and ZYPHER KING (*K J Lihaba) were slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) As the start was effected, Jockey M Yeni's (OLYMPIAN GOLD) shoulder made contact with the right-side front gate. b) SAFE TRAVEL (G Lerena) shifted out marginally away from the crop in the concluding stages. c) Jockey J Gates reported that RED SEA HILLS made an abnormal respiratory noise in running.
