THE STARTER REPORTED:
a) BAABOOO (S Khathi), which was nervous in the stalls, was taken out and re-loaded, stood awkwardly and fly-jumped leaving the stalls, losing three to four lengths.
b) JUST ONE KISS (R Fourie) was nervous in the stalls and slow into stride.
THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED:
a) Due to a technical issue with the scale, all Jockeys were weighed back in manually.
b) BUDDLEJA (C Habib) jumped awkwardly inwards and made contact with SALAGADOOLA (*J Botes) shortly after the start.
c) BAABOOO (S Khathi), which jumped slow, failed to muster speed and raced detached from the field throughout.
d) LACRYMA CHRISTI (*N Nastili) was hanging in from the 300m.
e) BUDDLEJA (C Habib) was hanging in from the 250m.
f) SALAGADOOLA (*J Botes) was hanging in from the 250m and was corrected at the 100m.
g) In view of the report from the Starter regarding BAABOOO (S Khathi), Trainer K Mitchley will be advised to have this filly re-schooled prior to her next engagement in terms of Rule 61.6.10.
h) JUST ONE KISS, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer AC Greeff was advised. (LM)
i) BUDDLEJA, the second-placed horse, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer DG Smith, acting on behalf of Trainer GD Smith, was advised. (LM)
