The start of this Race was delayed due to the close proximity of an electric storm and Races 6, 7 and 8 were subsequently rescheduled. BIEN VENUE jumped awkwardly. NORDIC REBEL was slow, losing 1 length. Jockey van Rensburg reported that GRADUATE did not stride out freely in running. In view of the Veterinary Surgeon's report concerning GRADUATE, this gelding is suspended from racing in any race under the jurisdiction of the National Horseracing Authority for an indefinite period. A veterinary certificate for GRADUATE must be submitted to the Veterinary Department of the NHA, before it can be entered for a race. Such certificate should outline the veterinarian's clinical findings, treatment administered and confirmation that the horse has been examined before and after a racing gallop and is fit to race.
