THE STARTER REPORTED: a) ENFLAME (S Moodley) jumped inwards leaving the stalls. b) CASUS BELLI (C Habib) jumped outwards leaving the stalls. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Shortly after the start, EIGER SANCTION (J Gates) was brushed out by CASUS BELLI (C Habib), which jumped outwards leaving the stalls. b) AMERICAN REBEL (P Strydom) over-raced in the early stages. c) ENFLAME (S Moodley) shifted both ways away from the crop from the 350m. d) Jockey C Maujean reported that CHABAL changed stride continually in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. Trainer F P Habib was requested to report back to the Stipendiary Board on the condition of CHABAL on return to stables. e) THE ULTIMATE KING (G Lerena), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer M Peter, acting on behalf of Trainer A P Peter, was advised (MS). JOCKEY CHANGES: a) ARLINGTON ACTION was ridden by Jockey J Penny (declared 18 July 2025 at 11H29).
