During the loading process a handler sustained a kick from SPARKLING JUBILEE (C Murray). The handler was attended to by the course paramedics and transported to the medical centre for further assessment. Thereafter, on resumption of the loading process SPARKING JUBILEE (C Murray) refused to load and was subsequently withdrawn by the Starter. These incidents caused a delay to the start of this race. THE STARTER REPORTED: a) SPARKLING JUBILEE (C Murray) refused to load. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) SKYTRIX (*J Botes) hung out from the 250m. b) In view of the performance of ETHEREAL VIEW (T Godden) which was not persevered with in the concluding stages, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. The Stipendiary Board has exercised the provisions of Rule 49.7, and this filly is suspended pending a Veterinary Certificate prior to its next racing engagement. c) In view of the performance of NAUTICAL LANDING (M Thackeray) (6.90 lengths, 20/1 in the betting), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. d) In view of the Starter's report with regard to SPARKLING JUBILEE (C Murray), this mare's starting stall certificate is withdrawn and it is suspended in terms of Rule 61.6.10 for a period of 7 days and until such time as it proves tractable with a companion. (Suspension dates: 21.07.2025 to the 27.07.2025). SPARKLING JUBILEE may not be presented for re-passing during this period. Trainer M De Kock will be advised. e) DAFNES DAUGHTER (G Lerena), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
