THE STARTER REPORTED: a) MATILDA FITZWALTER (D Daniels) was stubborn loading. Trainer D Swanson was advised to reschool this filly prior to her next engagement (WD). THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) GUNS OF WAR (J Penny) failed to muster speed on debut and trailed the field throughout. In view of this performance, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. b) FIREFLY LANE (K Derere) hung in throughout, proving difficult to assist.
