THE STARTER REPORTED: a) VIEW OF THE WORLD (G Lerena) and THE MIKADO (C Zackey) lost 1 length. b) TROIS TROIS QUATRE (S Veale) lost 2 lengths and thereafter was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) Between the 300m and the 100m ROYAL INVITAION (M Thackeray) and ARVERNI KING (M V'Rensburg) come together and bumped on a number of occasions. Thereafter over the final 60m ROYAL INVITATION (M Thackeray) was bumped in and unbalanced by ARVERNI KING (M V'Rensburg) which shifted in away from the crop. Then, shortly before the finish ROYAL INVITATION (M Thackeray) was brushed in by ARVERNI KING (M V'Rensburg). A race review was called into this incident, followed by an Objection lodged by a Stipendiary Steward on behalf of the fourth placed horse ROYAL INVITATION (M Thackeray) against the third placed ARVERNI KING (M V'Rensburg) on the grounds of interference over the final 60m. The Board after considering the video footage and the statements put forward by all parties as well as the extent of the interference, the proximity to the finish and the margin of 0.05 lengths was satisfied that but for the above incident, ROYAL INVITATION (M Thackeray) would have finished ahead of ARVERNI KING (M V'Rensburg). Therefore it upheld the objection and amended the Judge's result. b) TROIS TROIS QUATRE (S Veale), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Stable Employee T Nzilane acting on behalf of Trainers M/M De Kock was advised (DZ). JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES : a) Nil. RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER : a) Jockey C Zackey (THE MIKADO) weighed out at 56.4kg, 0.5kg over the carded weight. THE VETERINARY SURGEON REPORTED : a) No report.
