THE STARTER REPORTED: a) BABETTE'S FEAST (C Murray) was restless in the stalls and thereafter, slow losing one length. b) HOT COCOA (K A Brewer) was slow losing one length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) BABETTE'S FEAST (C Murray) was restless and threw its head up on two occasions shortly before the start was effected, which resulted in the Handler being marginally slow in releasing BABETTE'S FEAST as the gates were released. A race review was called into the start of this race with regards BABETTE'S FEAST (C Murray) in stall gate 5. The Stewards established that this gelding was restless as the start was effected. When assessing this incident, the Stewards were of the view that the front gates had opened on terms, and that the incident was as a consequence of BABETTE'S FEAST's own behaviour and in terms of the provisions of Rule 61.5.10.3 was declared a runner. b) WITCHING HOUR (G Lerena) hung in from the 350 to the 200m. c) In view of the performance of BELLA BOOP BOOP (C Maujean), (distance 7,30 lengths, betting 66/1), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. d) In view of the performance of HOT COCOA (K A Brewer), (distance 9,40 lengths, betting 25/1), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. e) MATTIAZO (C Zackey), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
