THE STARTER REPORTED: a) MOUNT PINATUBO (G Lerena) was restless in the stalls. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Jockey C Zackey reported that he felt something amiss with DREAMLAND in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. b) QUANTUM THEORY (M Yeni), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Stable Employee A Langa, acting on behalf of Trainer R R Sage, was advised (MS). JOCKEY CHANGES: a) DREAMLAND: Jockey C Zackey weighed out at 55,5kg, 1kg over the carded weight. Jockey C Zackey was charged with a contravention of Rule 55.4 in that he failed to weigh out at the correct carded weight on DREAMLAND, or at the higher weight confirmed in his engagement with Trainer M N Houdalakis.
