THE STARTER REPORTED: a) HIDDEN TREASURE (*K J Lihaba) was stubborn loading. Assistant Trainer W O Marwing was advised to reschool this filly prior to her next engagement (GT). b) RENDEVOUS IN RIO (J Mariba) and PLEIADES STAR (M K Katjedi) were slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Between 1100m and 1000m, TIPPERARY (C Habib) took a number of awkward strides. In view of this performance, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. b) HIDDEN TREASURE (*K J Lihaba) commenced to give ground to the field from the 400m. In view of this performance, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. c) Jockey J Gates reported that HARPER'S WAY made an abnormal respiratory noise in running.
