THE STARTER REPORTED: a) SOUTHAMPTON refused to load, dislodged Jockey JP van der Merwe without incident and broke loose from the Handler. This filly was taken in hand and subsequently withdrawn by the Starter, causing a delay. b) NTIBINDI (*M Mbuto) was reluctant to load and had to be hooded. c) WITHOUT HESITATION (K Steyn) jumped awkwardly inwards and thereafter was slow into stride. d) NICCI'S LAW (C Orffer) jumped slow, losing one length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Despite being ridden along in the early and middle stages, WITHOUT HESITATION (K Steyn) raced detached from the field throughout. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. b) NICCI'S LAW (C Orffer) raced green. c) Jockey O Noach reported that TIMELINE was blowing post-race. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. d) In view of the report from the Starter regarding NTIBINDI (*M Mbuto), Trainer ELP Steyn will be advised to have this filly re-schooled prior to her next engagement in terms of Rule 61.6.10. e) In view of the report from the Starter regarding SOUTHAMPTON (JP van der Merwe), this filly's starting stall certificate has been withdrawn and she is suspended for 7 days in terms of Rule 61.6.10 and until such time as she proves to be tractable to load with a companion. (Suspension dates: 14/08/2025 to 20/08/2025 inclusive) SOUTHAMPTON may not be presented for re-passing during this period. f) GIMME WHAT I WANT, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
