THE STARTER REPORTED: a) NOTE TO SELF (*T Mayhew) was stubborn loading and jumped slow, losing one length. b) TRES CHIC (*D Pillay) was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) MISS NEW YORK (*M Mbuto) raced wide on the turn and into the straight. b) MELA STRENGTH (*V Jodhee) was hanging in in the latter stages. c) In view of the performance of MISS NEW YORK (*M Mbuto), which tired quickly from the 300m, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this mare. d) In view of the performance of THE NIGHT FERRY (*B Plaatjies), which tired from the 250m, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. e) Apprentice V Jodhee (MELA STRENGTH) rode a satisfactory qualifying ride. f) In view of the report from the Starter regarding NOTE TO SELF (*T Mayhew), this colt's starting stall certificate has been withdrawn and he is suspended for 7 days in terms of Rule 61.6.10 and until such time as he proves to be tractable to load with a companion. (Suspension dates: 14/08/2025 to 20/08/2025 inclusive) NOTE TO SELF may not be presented for re-passing during this period. g) TURBO TWENTY, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
