THE STARTER REPORTED: a) GALLA VANTING (*B Plaatjies) was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) GALLA VANTING (*B Plaatjies) hung in from the 250m. b) Shortly before the finish TIME IN PARIS (*N Nastili) which hung in from the 200m, was steadied to avoid running onto the heels of GRUE OF ICE (*HM AL-Khayarim). c) The saddle on JANE'S VISION (*D D Louw) slipped back in the running. This was confirmed by the video evidence. d) Apprentice HM AL-Khayarin (GRUE OF ICE) completed a satisfactory qualifying ride. e) Apprentice E J Muller (MAMAS BABY) completed a satisfactory qualifying ride. f) Trainer Y Singh acting on behalf of Trainer M Pandaram was charged with a contravention of Rule 39.7.5, in that he failed to vaccinate GALLA VANTING against Equine Influenza in accordance with the programme of vaccination as published from time to time in the Racing Calendar.
