THE STARTER REPORTED: a) PLEASE BE TRUE (S Khumalo) jumped slow, losing two lengths. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) OMIKAMI (*B Plaatjies) failed to parade in front of the grandstand. Trainer L Woodruff was advised that should this filly behave in a similar manner in future engagements, she may be suspended. b) Approaching the 400m BOOGIEFIED (AUS) (C Orffer) was directed outwards and into clear running. c) Jockey C Zackey reported that GOLD DUST, which was hanging out throughout, made an abnormal respiratory noise in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. d) Jockey R Fourie reported that SAN PEDRO made an abnormal respiratory noise in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. e) VOORLOOPERTJIE, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
