THE STARTER REPORTED: a) Fair start. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Despite being ridden along in the early stages, PROFESSOR SNAPE (C Little) gave ground to the field. b) In view of the performance of PRINCESS OF BAYEUX (CF Dicken), which proved difficult to settle in the early and middle stages, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this mare. c) Leaving the 400m PRINCESS OF BAYEUX (CF Dicken) was briefly held up when close to the heels of ELEGANT NOBLE (*B Plaatjies). d) In view of the performance of KWITE A KING (JP van der Merwe), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. e) HEAL AND SOUL, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
