THE STARTER REPORTED: a) GOLDEN ANGEL (CF Dicken) was restless in the stalls. b) NILE THE BOSS (*B Plaatjies) and LADY LOOK ALIKE (R Fourie) brushed leaving the stalls. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) The Stewards have opened an Inquiry to establish the reasons which led to Jockey CF Dicken being dislodged from GOLDEN ANGEL leaving the 600m. As a consequence of this incident, HAPPY VERSE (A Domeyer) and DIVE BOMBER (C Little) were taken wide entering the home straight. Jockey CF Dicken was attended to on course by the Paramedics and then was further examined by the course Medical Officer and was sent for x-rays. Rule 25.12 applied. b) CARRIACOU (C Zackey) was hanging out in the straight. c) HAPPY VERSE, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer SJ Snaith was advised. (ZM) JOCKEY AND/OR EQUIPMENT CHANGES: a) C Little rode DIVE BOMBER (declared 07h59 on 20250830) b) *B Plaatjies (NILE THE BOSS) rode +1kg (51.3kgs) - In consultation with Trainer PAW Botha, permission was granted for this overweight as the Stewards established that this was an administrative error. This information was disseminated by the on-course Presenters prior to the commencement of the race meeting.
