THE STARTER REPORTED: a) TREASURE ISLAND (S Moodley) and DI ROSA (*A R Al-Mansouri) were stubborn to load. b) DEEPEST WATER (J Jacobs) lost 1 length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) DI ROSA (*A R Al-Mansouri) jumped awkwardly leaving the starting stalls. b) JENNY DARLING (S Hlengwa) hung in from the 600m. c) At the 500m CARTEL QUEEN (C Habib) was steadied when close to the heels of RUTH'S MAGIC (*D D Louw) which raced green and rolled in. d) At the 400m TREASURE ISLAND (T Godden) was directed to the inside of RUTH'S MAGIC (*D D Louw) which rolled out. Thereafter PIZAZZ (R Fourie) which raced green, was inconvenienced when close to the heels of RUTH'S MAGIC (*D D Louw). e) Apprentice E J Muller (KAPTURE THE PEACE) accidentally dropped his crop in the concluding stages. f) In view of the performance of DI ROSA (*A R Al-Mansouri) (20.05 lengths, 40/1 in the betting), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. g) In view of the Veterinary Surgeon's report concerning DI ROSA, and in terms of Rule 93.1, this mare is suspended for 60 days from racing in any race under the jurisdiction of the National Horseracing Authority. (Suspension dates : 01.09.2025 - 30.10.2025 bdi). Trainer G van Zyl (Jnr) will be advised. h) Apprentice E J Muller (KAPTURE THE PEACE) completed a satisfactory qualifying ride. i) THINGAMABOB (S Moodley), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
