THE STARTER HAD NO REPORTS. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) At approximately the 2000m, Jockey R Danielson (ROMEO'S MAGIC) adjusted his left-side footing. b) At approximately the 1400m, LADY NOIR broke down and was eased out of the race by Apprentice K J Lihaba. As a consequence, Apprentice G Samo-Burthia was forced to take evasive action and switch GOLD DE GRACE out to avoid LADY NOIR (*K J Lihaba), resulting in this gelding losing momentum and giving ground to the field. In view of this report, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. c) DAMOVA (C Zackey), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer J A Soma advised (MS). JOCKEY CHANGES: a) ROMEO'S MAGIC was ridden by Jockey R Danielson (declared 2 September 2025 at 08H55). b) GOLD DE GRACE: Apprentice G Samo-Burthia weighed out at 49,4kg, only claiming 3kg of his 4kg apprentice allowance as declared. RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER: None. THE VETERINARY SURGEON REPORTED: a) GOLD DE GRACE mouth injury. b) LADY NOIR broke down right front fetlock. Humanely euthanased. Specimens collected for analysis.
