THE STARTER REPORTED: a) LOOKING GOOD (*N Nastili) was stubborn loading and jumped awkwardly. b) MEDITERRANEANFLAME (W Agrella) was stubborn loading and nervous in the stalls. c) TORZIA (K Minnie) was nervous in the stalls. d) LOTUS SILK (R Fourie) was slow into stride. e) MONEY GALORE (M Yeni) jumped awkwardly and was slow into stride. f) DARLINGBUDSOFMAY (MK Katjedi) jumped inwards leaving the stalls and was immediately corrected. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Due to technical errors that occurred prior to the horses being sent to the saddling enclosure, all horses were late in the parade ring, causing a delay to the start of this race. b) LOOKING GOOD (*N Nastili) was assisted by a lead pony when proceeding to the start. Assistant Trainer C Kaknis appeared before the Board and was warned that should she attempt to use a lead pony without obtaining permission from the Stewards, disciplinary measures would be taken. c) It was identified during the running of this race that the outside running rail at approximately the 550m was slightly displaced and leaning inwards towards the track. This was attended to by the Track Manager. d) TORZIA (K Minnie), which jumped awkwardly inwards, stumbled and made contact with LYRICS AND SONGS (X Ndlovu) shortly after the start. e) LOTUS SILK (R Fourie) and TOUCH THE SWORD (C Little) raced green. f) Apprentice N Nastili reported that LOOKING GOOD did not stride out freely in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. Assistant Trainer C Kaknis was advised to report back should she find anything amiss with this filly on her return to the stables. g) Jockey M Yeni reported that MONEY GALORE was cut into. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. h) DARLINGBUDSOFMAY, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer JP Nel was advised.
