THE STARTER REPORTED: a) TOTHEMOONANDBACK (R Fourie) and TWICE THE MASTER (*S Bungane) jumped slow, losing one length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) NARETOI (M Yeni) pulled hard in the early stages. b) MONEY EXTRACTOR (G Wright) raced wide on the first turn between the 2000m and the 1700m. c) At the 500m SANSA STARK (JP van der Merwe) was directed outwards and made slight contact with TWICE THE MASTER (*S Bungane). d) At the 250m NOT WANTED (*B Plaatjies) was directed inwards to avoid the heels of a tiring MONEY EXTRACTOR (G Wright). e) Jockey C Zackey reported that he felt something amiss with JET A ONE and did not persevere with his riding from the 200m. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. After interviewing Jockey C Zackey, the Stipendiary Board has exercised the provisions of Rule 49.7, and this gelding is suspended pending a Veterinary Certificate prior to its next racing engagement. Trainer DA McLachlan was advised. f) In view of the performance of MONEY EXTRACTOR (G Wright), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. g) TWICE THE MASTER, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
