THE STARTER REPORTED: a) A fair start. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) At the 800m LINE IN THE SKY (S Moodley) was steadied to avoid running onto the heels of POURSOMESUGARONME (R A Venniker). b) SKYTRIX (*J Botes) hung out from the 350m. c) At the 150m LITTLEBLACKVELVET (*M Mbuto) and POURSOMESUGARONME (R A Venniker) came together and brushed when awkwardly placed between QHAWEKAZI (S Veale) and ETHEREAL VIEW (M Thackeray) which was steadied to avoid running onto the heels of BLUE HORIZON (*D D Louw) which commenced to hang in from the 250m. d) LINE IN THE SKY (S Moodley) was not persevered with from the 150m. Thereafter Jockey S Moodley reported that this mare did not stride out freely in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. e) JAZZ CAFE (K Matsunyane), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer R A Hill was advised (NS).
