THE STARTER REPORTED: a) FREQUENT TRAVELLER (M Yeni) and ERIKS LOVE (C Little) jumped slow, losing one length. b) BEWARE (S Veale) was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) After interviewing Jockeys R Fourie (IN MOTION), JP van der Merwe (SYMBOLIC GESTURE), L Mxothwa (GREEN COMMANDER) and Apprentice B Plaatjies (PRITTI UNITED) regarding an incident which occurred at the 1000m in which SYMBOLIC GESTURE (JP van der Merwe) had to be steadied while racing on the inside of PRITTI UNITED (*B Plaatjies) and GREEN COMMANDER (L Mxothwa), which was following, had to be checked away from the heels of SYMBOLIC GESTURE (JP van der Merwe), Apprentice B Plaatjies was charged with a contravention of Rule 62.2.7 in that he failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to SYMBOLIC GESTURE and GREEN COMMANDER when he shifted in at the 1000m. Apprentice B Plaatjies signed an Admission of Guilt and is suspended from riding in races for a period of 7 days (Dates: 14/09/2025 to 20/09/2025, both dates inclusive) b) At the 300m PRITTI UNITED (*B Plaatjies), which was directed outwards, shifted out away from the crop and had to be straightened. Thereafter PRITTI UNITED (*B Plaatjies) shifted back inwards away from the crop in the concluding stages. c) Trainer C Bass was charged with a contravention of Rule 8.3.1 in that she failed to have available the registered colours of the owner/s of CLARK GRISWOLD. Trainer C Bass signed an Admission of Guilt and was given a warning. d) ASTRONOMICAL BOY, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer C Bass was advised.
