THE STARTER REPORTED: a) STREWN SKY (C Maujean) and TITANS OF WAR (J R Syster) were slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Jockey C Murray (DIESEL'S SHADOW) did not persevere with his riding from the 250m. Thereafter, Jockey C Murray reported that he felt something amiss with this gelding in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. b) In view of the performance of STREWN SKY (C Maujean), (distance 10,65 lengths, betting 33/1), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. c) Jockey C Zackey was questioned regarding the performance of GIMMEACHOICE. He explained to the Board that he had to encourage this gelding forward in the early stages of the race, however, this gelding did not give him the response he expected, which resulted in him sitting further back than intended. Thereafter, this gelding had stayed on one paced. He further added that he was disappointed in this run and could offer no further explanation. Trainer J A Soma was requested to report back to the Stipendiary Board on the condition of GIMMEACHOICE on return to stables. d) TITANS OF WAR (J R Syster) hung in in the concluding stages. e) TITANS OF WAR (J R Syster), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Stable Employee J Dhlamini, acting on behalf of Trainer R R Magner, was advised (MduP). JOCKEY CHANGES: a) STREET ART was ridden by Jockey L Nhlapo (declared 18 September 2025 at 08H15).
