THE STARTER REPORTED: a) ICY ELEANOR (M Thackeray) was stubborn to load. b) QUERARI ROSE (T Godden) was stubborn to load and slow into stride. c) MAJOR TOMMIE (S Moodley) was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) ICY ELEANOR (M Thackeray) proved reluctant proceeding to the start and had to be led. Trainer P B Muscutt will be advised that should this filly behave in a similar manner in future, it may be suspended. b) Shortly after the start DARK MATTER (*M Mbuto) which was slow into stride, was bumped by QUERARI ROSE (T Godden) which jumped outwards leaving the starting stalls. c) Leaving the 300m, QUERARI ROSE (T Godden) was directed to the outside of DARK MATTER (*M Mbuto) which rolled in marginally. d) Leaving the 200m MAJOR TOMMIE (S Moodley) which hung out from the 300m was directed to the inside of BLAZING BEAUTY (K Matsunyane) which had come to the end of its run, and rolled in. e) HIERARCHY (M Yeni) hung in from the 150m. f) Jockey M Thackeray reported that ICY ELEANOR took no interest in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. g) Jockey K Matsunyane reported that he felt something amiss in the running with BLAZING BEAUTY. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. h) In view of the Veterinary Surgeon's report concerning BLAZING BEAUTY, and in terms of Rule 93.1, this filly is suspended for 60 days from racing in any race under the jurisdiction of the National Horseracing Authority. (Suspension dates : 22.09.2025 - 20.11.2025). Trainer M N Prinsloo will be advised. i) MAJOR TOMMIE (S Moodley), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
