TRULY WICKED kicked the back gates, was removed from the stalls, examined by the Veterinary Surgeon, declared fit to race and was re-loaded. FIVES WILD stumbled shortly after the start, dislodging the rider. Apprentice Gumede became incapacitated after being dislodged from FIVES WILD shortly after the start was effected. Consequently he was unable to weigh back in, deemed his weight to be correct. PETER PIPER was eased on the outside of MAKHET which shifted out from the crop between the 250m and the 150m. An Inquiry will be opened into this incident. PICKAWINNER was cramped between runners approaching the 50m. Jockey Schwarz signed an admission of guilt and was fined for a contravention, read in conjunction with Guideline M, in that he struck JERRY THE JUGGLER more than 12 times in the entire race. In deciding what action to take against Jockey Schwarz, the Board considered the number of times Jockey Schwarz struck the horse JERRY THE JUGGLER, the distance over which and manner in which, Jockey D Schwarz used his crop and his record in relation to this Rule. OPENSEA was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. SILVER CENT raced with alumites in front, unshod behind and raced with cheek pieces. NITZRAM raced without a tongue tie. The Medical Officer reported that Apprentice Gumede was examined after being dislodged with concussion, whiplash. Unable to continue riding.
