THE STARTER REPORTED: a) SAKURA HANAMI (C Zackey) jumped sharply outwards leaving the stalls, losing two lengths. b) POWER OF PEARLS (S Moodley) was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) DRESS CODE (M K Katjedi) failed to muster speed on debut and trailed the field from the 600m. In view of this performance, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. b) In the concluding stages, TEMPRANILLO (M Yeni) was steadied momentarily when tightened for galloping room between the outside running rail and VANAKKAM (*G Samo-Burthia), which shifted out away from the crop and was corrected. c) VANAKKAM (*G Samo-Burthia), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
