THE STARTER REPORTED: a) Fair start. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Shortly after the start, REET PETITE (R Fourie) was brushed outwards by BEACH VERSE (S Moodley) and had to be steadied away from the heels of MUSIC OF THE NIGHT (C Murray). Thereafter, REET PETITE (R Fourie) was taken in behind runners. b) BLACK PATH (*G Samo-Burthia) raced wide without cover on the turn and into the straight. c) At the 100m Jockey C Little (GOLDEN ANGEL) briefly got his crop entangled in his reins. d) Jockey D Ashby reported that HANG OUT THE STARS felt uncomfortable behind. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this mare. e) Jockey JP van der Merwe reported that ZENA'S ACT choked up in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. f) REET PETITE, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer J Crawford was advised.
