THE STARTER REPORTED: a) EDUCATOR (G Behr) nudged the front gates open, was immediately restrained, returned behind the stalls, examined by the Veterinary Surgeon, passed suitable to race and reloaded, causing a delay. b) DECEMBER DAWN (S Moodley) and MATCH THAT (S Moodley) jumped slow, losing one length. c) ALL IS GREEN (C Orffer) was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) UKUDUMA (R Fourie) over raced in the early stages. b) Apprentice S Bungane (CHAMPAGNE KISSES) briefly dropped his left-side rein at the 300m. c) Trainer C Bass was charged with a contravention of Rule 8.3.1 in that he failed to have available the registered colours of the owner/s of ELECTROMAGNETISM. Trainer C Bass signed an Admission of Guilt and was fined R250,00. d) Jockey G Behr reported that EDUCATOR did not stride out freely in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. e) Jockey G Wright reported that MISS WILLIAM made an abnormal respiratory noise in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. f) In view of the report from the Starter regarding EDUCATOR (G Behr), Trainer DM Kannemeyer will be advised to have this filly re-schooled prior to her next engagement in terms of Rule 61.6.10. g) GARDEN OF EDEN, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer PD Reeves was advised.
