THE STARTER REPORTED:
a) KISS OF FIRE (*G Samo-Burthia) stood, losing six lengths. The starting stall certificate for this mare has been withdrawn. Trainer P P Labuschagne was advised (GT).
b) COUNT YOUR CHANCES (*B Marx-Jacobson) was slow losing two lengths.
THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED:
a) At approximately the 300m, POMOZELOUS (*D Pillay) had to ease off the heels of HOLLYWOOD MADAM (*S Valjalo), which was carried in by THE MIGHTIEST (*K J Lihaba), which was eased and shifted in to avoid the heels of ARTIC SILVER (*D Louw), which shifted in when insufficiently clear.
Apprentice D Louw was charged with a contravention of Rule 62.2.7 in that he, as the rider of ARTIC SILVER, failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to POMOZELOUS (*D Pillay) and THE MIGHTIEST (*K J Lihaba) when he shifted in at the 300m. Apprentice D Louw signed an Admission of Guilt and is suspended from riding in races for a period of seven days.
Suspension dates: To be advised.
b) In view of the Starter's report with regard to KISS OF FIRE, this mare's starting stall certificate has been withdrawn, and she is suspended in terms of Rule 61.6.10 for a period of 7 days and until such time as she proves tractable loading and jumping with a companion.
Suspension dates: 10 October 2025 to 16 October 2025. KISS OF FIRE may not be presented for re-passing during this period. Trainer P P Labuschagne was advised.
c) In view of the performance of KISS OF FIRE (*G Samo-Burthia), (distance 15,00 lengths, betting 18/10), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine.
d) ARTIC SILVER (*D Louw), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.

JOCKEY CHANGES:
a) COUNT YOUR CHANCES: Apprentice B Marx-Jacobson weighed out at 50,1kg, only claiming 2kg of his 4kg apprentice allowance as declared.
