THE STARTER REPORTED: a) GOLDEN CROC reared in the stalls and dislodged Jockey E Webber, bolted the course, was taken in hand, examined by the Veterinary Surgeon and withdrawn, causing a delay. b) WHITE WATERS (M van Rensburg) kicked the back gates in the starting stalls. c) CALL ME CLARION (*S Valjalo) refused to jump as the start was effected. d) AM STILL WINNING (*G Dookhit) jumped awkwardly, made contact with the right-hand side of the starting stalls and lost two lengths. e) DREAM TEAM (MK Katjedi) jumped slow, losing one length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels and no retests were recorded. (12h27) b) GLIMMER OF LIGHT (W Agrella) and ZARA DIVA (*N Nastili) over raced in the early and middle stages. c) ZARA DIVA (*N Nastili) was carried outwards by AM STILL WINNING (G Dookhit), which shifted out to obtain clear running at approximately the 350m. Apprentice G Dookhit appeared before the Board and was advised to be more measured when switching his mounts in a race so as not to interfere with other runners. d) GOLDIELOX (C Maujean) shifted out continuously from the 250m and thereafter, Jockey C Maujean reported that he felt something amiss with this filly. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. Trainer TJ Laing was advised to report back should she find anything amiss with this filly on her return to the stables. e) Jockey C Little reported that he felt something amiss with TOUCH THE SWORD. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. Trainer SB Kotzen was advised to report back should she find anything amiss with this filly on her return to the stables. f) Apprentice S Valjalo reported that she felt something amiss with CALL ME CLARION. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. g) GLIMMER OF LIGHT (W Agrella) returned with a bilateral epistaxis due to an exercise induced pulmonary haemorrhage and is suspended for a period of 60 days from racing in any race under the jurisdiction of The National Horseracing Authority of Southern Africa in terms of Rule 93.1. (Dr K Davis) h) In view of the report from the Starter regarding GOLDEN CROC (E Webber), this filly's starting stall certificate has been withdrawn and she is suspended for 7 days in terms of Rule 61.6.10 and until such time as she proves to be tractable to load with a companion. (Suspension dates: 11/10/2025 to 17/10/2025 inclusive) GOLDEN CROC may not be presented for re-passing during this period. i) In view of the report from the Starter regarding CALL ME CLARION (*S Valjalo), this filly's starting stall certificate has been withdrawn and she is suspended for 7 days in terms of Rule 61.6.10 and until such time as she proves to be tractable to jump on terms with a companion. (Suspension dates: 11/10/2025 to 17/10/2025 inclusive) CALL ME CLARION may not be presented for re-passing during this period. j) WHITE WATERS, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
